This is another photo spam,
because I really am happy with this doll.
Hubby said she has the nicest face,
and, as he's really not into dolls,
(despite the huge collection
of Star Wars 'action figures')
I take his comment as a huge compliment.
Alice is wigged with suri alpaca hair,
a first for me,
and has a new design
for her hands and feet.
I love making dolls that
teach me something new,
and help me feel I really am
learning, and getting better.
I'd like to thank you all
(and Hubby!)
for your support and encouragement.
I don't think I would have
made any progress at all
if it hadn't been for you wonderful people,
visiting and commenting.
Thank you!

Oh, she is beautiful Rhissanna!
ReplyDeleteI love the realistic looking hair and the flowers you chose for both her hair band and dress...so pretty.
The last picture made me chuckle....she looks as though she's just come back from a damn good night out :)
Have a lovely day :)
Thank you so much! and yes, that last photo makes me grin. I might caption it "Go home, Alice. You're drunk!".
DeleteLOL!
Delete:) Thought you'd like that!
DeleteThere is something very sweet about the face...lovely!
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you! I really have very little control over their faces. I really do paint them just to find out who they are!
DeleteShe is beautiful!!!
ReplyDelete:) Thank you, Dee! It's going to be hard to part with her.
DeleteShe is really quite lovely. You do amazing work.
ReplyDeleteSee, now I'm blushing! Thank you!
DeleteI love her pose in the last photo; she looks relaxed, but aware of her awesomeness at the same time. You have such a gift, Rhissanna.
ReplyDeleteRelaxed as a lush! I tried to show how flexible/posable she was, but she looks a little sprawled up there. A bit too much of the 'Drink Me', perhaps?
Delete(and I'm blushing. Thank you!)
Semplicemente incantevole!!! Mi piace ogni particolare: complimenti!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteShe is truly beautiful! I love that look on her face! Looking off to one side! Deep in thought ;o) Keep on creating! You truly have a gift my friend ;o) Big Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeleteAww! Magic Love Crow, you say the nicest things :) Thank you!
DeleteShe does have the sweetest face and I just love her garden flower crown, my kind of alice!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I'm glad you like her garland. I wanted to move away from the traditional alice-band but keep her hair the same Alice style. I've finally worked out how to keep the thing on her head so I'll make these again.
DeleteShe is really beautiful.....face, hands, feet......beautiful:) You are on a roll. With every doll you make you get better.
ReplyDeleteAww! You do say the nicest things! Thank you. I feel more confident about it, if that's the right word? I love it when a doll teaches me new techniques and ideas, then I feel like I'm getting somewhere.
DeleteWow. She is amazing. I cannot get over her facial features.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I have to admit, I'm going to miss her when she goes.
DeleteI agree totally with what everyone says about this doll. I think she is very special and I really love her expression which looks so dreamy.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for those wonderful tips Beverly
Thank you so much, Shashi! She all came together at once and I'm convinced dolls that are sweet to make have the nicest expressions! As for the paperclay, I'm handing out the oven-drying tip everywhere. And, if you don't like a sculpt, add a bit of water and leave it in a plastic bag and it turns into fresh clay again.
DeleteShe is so soulful, her eyes really draw you in! You have such a gift, each doll gets better and better. She is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Patti
Thank you, Patti! That's the nicest possible thing you could say! I'm glad you like her.
DeleteShe is lovely, Rhissanna! I like her straight hair! Your dolls start looking more and more real, you know what I mean? Face expression, skin color, and dresses! Your husband is right, this Alice has a lovely face!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I loved adding this style of hair and it does give a more realistic look to her face. I'm so glad you like her!
