This sleeping Alice
has been a real sweetheart to make.
She needs clothes,
and I can't decide on
an original Tenniel Alice
or a Dark Alice
in black velvet.
Help, anyone?
I'm already making
a companion Alice
(who is awake)
in the traditional Tenniel
blue dress and white apron,
for a commission.
Black velvet sounds divine ~
ReplyDeleteyet I am quite sure I will love whatever you choose .
Your creativity mesmerizes me !
Aww, thank you, WIllow. I think, as I have the velvet, I'm going to go that route, with maybe some antique lace.
DeleteI agree with Willow she will be stunning in either and I am sure you will choose the perfect one.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shashi!. As there'll be more Alices to come, whichever fabric I don't use for this, I will use on the next.I just have to pick one!
Deleteshe will be cute even in the black one. No matter which dress you choose, you always design it so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet thing to say! Thank you. The scrap of black velvet is really speaking to me, though!
DeleteThen go for it! :)
DeleteShe's beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary Ann! I just need to get her finished!
DeleteShe is simply exquisite! I think the black would be stunning. Looking forward to seeing her completion.
ReplyDeletefondly,
Penny
Thank you, Penny! Yes, the Daydreaming Alice will be in the traditional blue dress and I was quite looking forward to making tteo the same, but now... I really rather fancy something in warm black velvet!
DeleteOMG, that is gorgeous, adorable...What talent, she is so sweet and I love her hair! I vote for blue!!!
ReplyDeleteCarol
Oh, thank you Carol! Yes, I have an awake Alice in blue that's been commissioned and I need to get her finished. I was going to make the pair both in blue, but this piece of soft vintage velvet is so pretty and I have just the lace to trim it. Decisions, decisions!
DeleteI love her! I would go black velvet ;o)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Magic Love Crow!It is very tempting, isn't it?
DeleteShe is sooo beautiful! Even without clothes. I'm all for Dark Alice!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Magaly! I think Dark Alice would be very fitting!
DeleteBlack is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou should see this little scrap of blackv velvet! Dark and soft and a little time-worn. It really is beautiful and it really needs to be on a doll!
DeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
