Me, Bessie (she's the cute one) and some earth.
This is an unphotoshopped image,
taken on organically grown grass
(The dog helps)
lit by natural sunlight.
Even if we only
do one little thing today
that's green
that's something.
I'm planting a wee little lemon tree
grown from a lemon pip
using the baby-sitting method.
It won't grow any lemons, probably,
but it will be green and pretty.
Happy Earth Day:)
ReplyDeleteYou, too!
DeleteOh, I forgot all about Earth Day! Ok, I gotta get out there and do something. We had heavy rain last night, I'm always afraid of lizards and things. Thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry! I'm sure the Earth will wait a day, Sherry. It rained here, too, so I couldn't do my big idea, which was to put up a decent washing line to dry laundry outside.
DeleteLemon Trees are so pretty, perfect!
ReplyDeleteI am featuring our friend, Designer and Paper Artist Anita Rivera from Castle Crowns and Cottages on my site! She is amazing!

Oh! I'll just go over and take a peek!
DeleteLove that lemon graphic!
ReplyDeleteI once planted a naturally sprouting lemon pip in some soil with a philodendron which had not increased its size in 6 months. No lemon tree resulted, but you should see the philodendron --it's all over the place now! LOL
Happy Belated Earth Day, Miss Rabbit!
Possum
Thank you! I was hoping for a picture of an orangery, but couldn't find one.
DeleteMaybe the philodendron was jealous that there was another plant that had your favour? You can never tell with plants.
Orangery pic.....hmmmmm....if you've still a hankering for one, I may be able to supply one.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check first, tho'.....
It 'd be 18th cent. in origin. Versailles, I'm guessing...about Louis 15th, I expect.
let me know!
Possum
I'd love that, thank you.
DeleteP.S. I've just discovered another great blogger:

Oh yes, I saw! What a lovely blog!
DeleteWhat a great picture!!
ReplyDeleteYou and Bessie are both cute!!!
Thank you for your visit..I am late in getting back to everyone who commented..still trying to get back in the swing of things!
Happy day to you and Miss Bessie,
Dana
It's lovely to see you here, Dana. And I'll tell Bessie what you said!
DeleteLove your photo, and your Earth Day celebration. (Made me chuckle!) Hopefully mother earth will surprise you and you'll be making homemade lemonade one day.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Laurel! I'd be thrilled if the trees just flower. I've heard orange blossom smells lovely; I'll bet lemon blossom does, too.
