Margot's Bed.

is one of my favourite films.

Excitement! Love! Drama!
History! Dumas! Rapiers

I also love

So when I decided to get myself a Deridoll,
I always knew what I wanted.

The sweet little parcel!

The sweetest little gift card

See?

Here is Queen Margot,
in her fabulous dress.

And here she is by Deri,
complete with her necklace
and cute bodice lacing!

See the label?

Here is Queen Margot,
all sexy and what-have-you.

And here she is by Deri,
 in her mask!
Squee!

Exactly the same!

What else was in the parcel?

Ribbon roses!

Deri's exquisite, handmade ribbon roses!

They're tiny and beautiful
and I am in awe of how she makes them!

As she knows!

Thank you, Deri!

To order your own Deridoll

When the Queen arrived
I got a wonderful surprise from my good friend

You can't see it in this photo,
as the Queen has claimed it
as her royal bed
and is lying in state.

Here it is!

It's a HUGE fabulous felt pin cushion
with the most spectacular ribbon flowers.
Look at them!

On top is a really sweet little button
with grapes.
It's now on my sewing table,
stuck full of pins.

is another bunny lover.
(That sounds wrong, doesn't it?)

She also does wonderful jewellery

Here are two gorgeous things
she sent me!

Look at that fab rabbit!

And this!
LOOK AT THIS!
A Steampunk Bunnyfly!

I love this so much, I wore it
when I was sworn in as an
American Citizen.

(I know you can't see it, but it's there. Honest!)

Oh, and this is taken
on Hubby's phone
so I apologise.

Flag looks good, though!

    1. Thank you! Deri and Miss Magpie are both wonderful artists and I love their creations. Queen Margot claiming the pin cushion as her bed was just a bonus. Oh, and if you like historical films with blood and lust, you might like Queen Margot.

    1. I was so thrilled to receive all these pretty things. The pincushion is in use all the time, finally one big enough for a lot of pins.

    1. Aww, thank you Deri! Help yourself to the photos and whatever you need. I am delighted to finally own one of your dolls and those ribbon roses are teeny little treasures. But you see how Margot helped herself to Sandra's pincushion bed, right? Bad queen!

    2. She doesn't look like a queen to be denied! Never thought about adding a canopy to a pincushion before!

I'm ridiculously honored that my necklace made it to your swearing in ceremony!

    1. She's so sweet, isn't she? I'm delighted with all of it. And this is what bloggy friends are for, sending goodies. I've stolen your paintings back from Hubby and I'm putting them up in my studio as soon as it's cleared!

  10. Get ready to be extremely ashamed of me, for I haven't read the novel or watched the movie. And it has rapiers! Would I spoil the book too much if I watch the movie first? I'm feeling a tad down (and lazy) lately, so I've given myself permission to veg and watch TV.

    LOVE the doll!
