While I find the images I'm looking for,
for this week's Dollmaker on Thursday
here's something I'm working on.
You might remember her from this protest group seen here.
She's finally getting some clothes!
And hair!
And this is a random frog in my rosemary nursery this morning.
Isn't he sweet?
Look at those legs!
It amazes me how well you paint eyes! She's beautiful and love the little froggy, too :D
ReplyDeleteThank you! The painted eyes hide the fact there's not a lot of sculpted detail in her face! I'm a big fan of doll repainters, even though they're looked down on by some of the art doll community and everything I learned about face painting comes from them and BJD face-up artists. They do the most transforming things with the bland Barbie face and there used to be some amazing tutorials out there, too.
DeleteThis gal is coming along nicely. Can't wait to see what you will do with her. Adorable frog!

DeleteWhere was I? Oh yes, typing with one hand and sewing with the other, lol. Thank you so much for your lovely comments and for visiting. Your support means a lot! Yes, doll is coming along. Stuck for a name, though. I need a 1950's witchy kind of name. Esmeralda?
DeleteI love this doll Rhissanna, she is beautiful.........and little froggy is very handsome too.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Karin. Hopefully today, I will have finished her Dior New Look style dress. As for Mr Frog, I hope he stays.
DeleteI'm looking at your beautiful doll and then poof, there is a frog! LOL! He is very sweet ;o) Love those legs ;o) Your doll is looking amazing! Love the protest group! LOL! Big Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeleteHeh! I'm glad you like Mr Frog. He's been there every day, around noon. I think he enjoys sitting in the flower pots after they've been watered.
DeleteYou see what a doll has to do around here to get some clothes!
I miss frogs so much! When we did our remodel job of our house years ago, we used to have froggies croaking in our yard at night. Then they just disappeared. No more froggies! Sad!
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting about nature in your yard.
hugs,
Teresa
That's sad :( I wonder where they went? The ones I have in my garden hang around the flower pots where it's damp and cool. For years I had a toad who'd sit by the door all evening, where he'd catch insects that were attracted by the light. He got trodden on by accident all the time; we have to warn guests when they left not to step on Mr Toad.I miss him.
