How many days to Halloween?

Shameless promotion for
a feature on
a glitter-covered skull
I altered for
Hubby's

(I know everyone else is buying plain skulls
and covering them with glitter.
I did originally display this one,
in all its glittery cuteness,
on a cake stand
with roses.

And it did look wonderful.
So I may have to buy another)

    1. Thank you, Ann. You know when a craft project is fun to do and goes well? You know how great that feels? Well, this skull was one of those. Even better, Hubby is thrilled with it.

    1. Oh, Autumn can't come soon enough. It wasn't until I moved to Arkansas I really learned why people celebrate the start of Autumn. I can't wait!

I have to admit, I don't hang around in the study after dark... Yeah, it's creepy!

  5. Have just been revisiting all my Halloween pins on Pinterest with a view to planning what to do so it's not all last minute. I love this skull and you should definitely do another.

    1. Lol, Sherry. It was the only skull I could find that was about the right size(and not lots of $$$). And yeah, it does look creepy. That's why it's in his room!

  7. Your husband has a steampunk study? I am sure it's filled with lots of interesting things. I could only assume, one would have a lot to look at, when wondering through your house :). I love your glittered covered skull.

    1. Hi Amy! The Steampunk Study is a project so absurd it has its own blog, which really gets more stuff posted from the end of summer onwards. Hubby loves it and I treat the whole room as a giant art project. As for the skull, I realise I didn't write this very well. I actually bought glittered one and un-glittered it. I really wanted a proper skull, but most people I know are still using theirs!

  8. Last year after Halloween I was fortunate (?) to hit the Michael's craft store with a good supply of left of merchandise and they already knew the store would not be around another year. They quickly dropped the prices down to 75% and then 90% off! I filled more than one cart. I stocked up on skulls of all sizes and materials. Sadly I packed it away but very soon I will have the time to play with it again!
    Thank you for inspiration.

    1. Oh! I can't wait to see what you do with them! How wonderful! I love Halloween. The study is pretty much an all-year-round Halloween place, what with the skull, the creep photos, the creepy specimens in jars...it's like a themed playroom for grown-ups.
