She is just stunning !!! And so sweet in her daydreaming. I love her long legs and stockings. Her face and hair is just gorgeous. Wonderful Dear. XXOO Marie Antoinette
Thank you so much, M. Antoinette! I'm glad her dreamy face comes over and thank you for noticing her long legs! I like a leggy doll. It reminds me of a rag doll I had when I was very small, that my Mother made me.
Thank you so much, Mary Ann. I'm nearly done with this one. Today I finished the red trim on the apron, which I'd been really worried about getting right. So, she's nearly finished!
Exactly right, Luba. I was asked to paint her looking down. It was really hard to make her look downward without being a little sad. She's daydreaming.
Thank you very much!. It's been fun, putting them all together. Getting the fabric for the blue and white stockings took the longest. In the end, I bought a stripy tshirt and used that, but it does mean I have enough to spare for more.
Hello Rhissanna, Thank you for stopping by. and what a nice thing to say about my doll. I wanted to let you know that I enjoy making the dolls, but I leave the name and the story up to my best friend Edie Marie. she loves to write stories about my dolls...LOL. I think that makes them even better. Edie Marie is a God send. I always love seeing your dolls. You are so talented. I wish you lived near by. I'd ask you to teach me how you make them. Take care, Marie
It is so wonderful to see all the layers. I was just looking back and forth between the earlier entries and this one, and oh my goodness, the difference! Her hair, her stockings, her petticoat, and that sooo Alice bored look. Amazing.
Thank you so much, Magaly. The stages helps me make progress, as if the making of the doll was a story, (that makes sense, right?). And this doll taught me a lot, different eyes, a new way to paint lips. It's been wonderful. As for her face, that's the forth repaint. She didn't make it easy for me!
Aww, that's the nicest thing anyone could say. I guess I post it here so I can see what I'm doing, and see what I've learned. It was always fun to see how other people made their dolls on their blogs, so I thought I'd join in. Thank you for the wonderful support. It really does cheer me on.
