Usually they have a name,
but this one,
I don't know.
Melissa?
Laura?
She's a bit of a dreamer,
sat up there in my peach tree.
Wandering around the garden.
Posing in the breeze.
And generally staring into space.
A real daydreamer.
Lucky girl!
Here she is, being made,
still with curly hair.
Did you know you can
straighten Tibetan lambswool
with a hair straightener?
Me neither, until I tried.
And here is her dupion silk frock
before the paper roses are added.
Gentle reader,
as you've come this far
pop on over to the previous post and
There's a doll in it for you!

What a beauty! How about Elise? Her dress is simply lovely.
ReplyDeleteElsie is very a sweet name! I hadn't thought of that, thank you!
DeleteWhat a pretty doll!!!!
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you! She was a treat to make.
DeleteShe is gorgeous, besides a daydreamer a little pouty too! Maybe more of a Laura?
ReplyDeleteCarol
Thank you, Carol. She does have a bit of a pout, doesn't she! She might be more of a Laura.
DeleteShe is absolutely exquisite! You do such beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteI love her braids..
I see her as Greta. Such beautiful blue eyes.
blessings,
Penny
Thank you so much, Penny! Your support means a lot to me. The two braids and the blue eyes would suit a name like Greta, wouldn't they? What a lovely suggestion, thank you.
DeleteI kind of thought she looked like a Greta... I am happy you like the suggestion..
DeleteThank you for wandering over.. Miss B is my granddaughter.. Her name is Brittany, I call her miss B. It was Brittany's birthday and I thought If I needle felted a little Bella (Bella is her dog)it may bring a smile. It sure did.. She loved it! So happy you enjoyed.
Again, I just love this doll. Your continue to amaze me.
blessings,
Penny
She has such a beautiful face and gorgeous blue eyes.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I did wonder if the blue was too strong when I first painted them, but I'm glad I went with it now.
DeleteI think she is a Melissa, She certainly is a dreamer, with those big beautiful eyes.
ReplyDeleteShe is a gorgeous doll!!! I love all your work. You are such a talent.
May God Bless,
Marie Antoinette
Aww, thank you! You're very kind. Everyone seems taken with her blue eyes. I was worried they were too bright when I first painted them, but now I'm really glad I kept them that way.
DeleteGood morning Rhissanna! This is another masterpiece of a doll. Many of your artists out there achieve a "spirit" to your creations with emotion, details that bring forth those sentiments, not to mention the wonderful materials you use in making them! It feels strange to speak of "materials" here, for when I see a creation as such, it's almost as if this (doll) is a little girl...a breathing child. Her name? VIOLET! TIFFANY, PEARL....oh dear, too many possibilities!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for coming by to visit. Art is breathing for us humans, isn't it? Happy day! Anita
Oh, that's the nicest thing anyone could say! You dear, sweet thing, you! Thank you!
DeleteShe is lovely Rhissanna - your dolls just get better and better :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karin. I have to admit I love dolls that teach me something new and I hope that helps make me better at what I do.
DeleteShe's absolutely beautiful. I love love her dress:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary Ann. I was worried it was over-the-top but then I thought, why not? :) And added more lace! And roses!
DeleteShe is a beautiful mysterious daydreamer ;o) Maybe she is not meant to have a name. Maybe the home she goes to, is meant to name her ;o) Big Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeleteI think you might be absolutely right, Magic Love Crow. Wherever she goes, they will know her name.
DeleteI forgot to answer your question.. So sorry. You had asked where I found the ( B ) I found it in the jewelry section at Michaels .. It is a little charm.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Little Miss No Name is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love her winsome expression and haunting eyes.
Gorgeous dress.
Hugs,
Patti
Aww, Patti, thank you very much. That's very sweet of you!
DeleteHello... my first visit to your beautiful blog... your doll is just stunning... I think her name is Anais... which means graceful in French... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteThank you! That would be a lovely name for her :)
DeleteWhat a beautiful doll! I too am taken with the blue eyes. And, the little silk frock on a wee hanger is a piece of art on its own.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I did think the dress looked sweet all on its own! And thank you!
DeleteShe is gorgeous and I love her expression. She looks very pensive so perhaps you should call her Pensive:)
