This is Mr Butterbean
all grown up.
Nearly.
Just in time for
Easter, too.
So I shall expect
brightly coloured eggs
Easter morning.
I tried to sketch him.
It was remarkably unsuccessful.
Firstly,
because he won't keep still.
And secondly,
because my sketchbook is tasty.
This bunny will keep still!
This bunny is made by the wonderful
Cynthia Toy,
(yes, that's her real name)
who makes the loveliest
cloth fairy dolls.
I have wanted one of these bunnies
ever since I first saw one.
But there's only a few made
every Spring.
This year, I nabbed one!
Hubby bought it for me.
Here she is on
Steampunk Rabbit's lap.
For more on Cynthia's work
see her Etsy shop,
Cynthia is on
and she has a web page.
Mr Butterbean has a perfectly perfect name for a bun.
ReplyDeleteHe does indeed. I wish I could take credit for it! The name came from Hubby's sister-in-law. Stroke of genius, I thought.
DeleteI agree with Jeri, what a great name! Can't wait to see your bun all done.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Penny! As for Steampunk Rabbit, she's getting there. She doesn't run off, like some bunny I could mention...
Deleteahh,she is so pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. The little rabbit is so sweet, she might even get her own dolls house.
DeleteOh, so many bunnies! That one eating your sketch book is so cutely fluffy :)
ReplyDeleteI have been following Fairies Nest blog for quite a while, and I fell in love with Cynthia's dolls. I always look forward seeing her works.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Anna
Doesn't she make lovely dolls? The big fairies are gorgeous and the little dolls are so sweet. When I saw the bunnies she makes every Spring, I just knew I had to have one!
DeleteI like so much your Bunnies World!
ReplyDeletePatri
Heh! There are a lot of rabbits, true!
DeleteI love Cynthia's dolls and lucky you to have one of her rabbits:) I want to see more pictures of Mr. Butterbean...he's such a lovely colour:)
ReplyDeleteI must admit I was thrilled to finally nab one!
DeleteAnd yes, Mr Butterbean is a gorgeous mix of warm gold and cream, with handsome black whiskers. If I can catch him with the camera, I'll post more pics.
Mr. Butterbean is so cute! I would let him eat your sketchbook ;o) LOL! What a beautiful gift from your Hubby! Lucky girl ;o) Have a great one ;o)
ReplyDeleteHe is a sweetie, nice and friendly, too.
DeleteHubby understands about the doll thing!
hi rhissana i love your real bunny ...he is beautiffful! omg ! and i also love yyour special bunny by cynthia toy..wow great name huh?!
ReplyDeleteI'll tell Mr Butterbean you said so!
DeleteAnd yes, Cynthia has the perfect name for a dollmaker. I;m just so thrilled to finally have one of my own.
Mr. Butterbean is a real charmer as most bunnies are. Speaking of which, you're little bunny from Cynthis Toy is adorable and another little charmer.
ReplyDeleteCan one ever have too many charming bunnies? I don't think so! Thank you! (Mr Butterbean thanks you, too)
DeleteSteampunk Bunny looks like she has CT Bunny right where she wants her. Meanwhile, I like what I see of those Mr. Butterbean sketches (Mr. Butterbean is pretty good lookin', too).
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you noticed Steampunk Rabbit rather looms over little bunny. It looks a little ominous. I'm sure she means well...
DeleteAnyway, thank you for the sweet comment about my hasty (nibbled) bunny sketches! I'll have to try again, if I can find a way to bribe him to keep still. His own edible sketch book, maybe?
thank you for visiting me I look forward to you coming for tea and to sew. :)
ReplyDeleteIt would be lovely. Your craft room is an inspiration!
DeleteAhh, Mr. Butterbean is adorable and I love his golden color! Lucky you to have such Bunny Friends...Cynthia Toys little girl bunny is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring!
Isn't she sweet? I think I got the prettiest of the bunch in that violet coloured dress. In fact, Violet Bunny is probably going to be her name.
DeleteAs for handsome Mr Butterbean, I chose him out of a box of bunnies because he was the friendliest and most curious. All the others ran away into the bunny house, but he came out to sniff around and was happy to be petted. The gorgeous golden fur sealed the deal!
Butterbean is rabbity love for sure.I adore your collection, hubby was so kind to find you a cherished treasure. Seeing Butterbean has me realizing our Cindy Lopear the fabulous French lop that so generously shares her lovely way of being with our farm life, has not yet been in a blog post. This shall be her week. She will be jumping for joy when I give her the news. So glad I found you ...I will hop back back here often now to join in the lovliness you share.
ReplyDeleteBe Well
Willow
Oh, yes, for rabbits, this is probably their week in the sun (if we get any actual sun). Thank you for popping over and I'll be sure to make a visit to see Cindy Lopear!
DeleteOh Rhissanna, your bunny is so adorable! And if that little sketch in the corner of your page was done by you, it is amazing!!! What a sweet husband you have. Warm hugs, Mina
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mina! Mr Butterbean is a star, I have to admit. And yes, that's a lightening sketch of him, before he rushed across the room to taste some more sketchbook.
DeleteHubby is a sweetheart, too. Maybe I should do more sketches of him as he's better at keeping still and he doesn't fancy paper as a snack!
The bunny is one of the sweetest I have seen.
