I miss my mac...

And this is a doll.
A doll, people!
A Steve Jobs action figure!

See more here.

I'm going to do a post on the BJD, (that's a ball-jointed doll) but I thought this was so amazing it deserved a post all to itself.

  1. OMG...that is so realistic. My son said it's done by computer imaging fed into a laser machine thingy and all that complicated stuff. He is an photographer/film maker/artist and knows all that kinda stuff. You should see what he can create just using his iPad never mind a computer program. Way over my head:)

  3. I remember there was a lot of coverage of the laser face scanner thingy when they were making action figures of the Lord of the Rings actors way back. I still have a Faramir and a Legolas face-down in a box somewhere and I have to admit, I was impressed by the realism they could create on what was a mass-produced plastic figure.

Maybe I should do a tutorial on altering dollar store action figures into something with more significance. Hubby still has the one I made him as a Valentine.

  4. Wow! He looks like he could speak or blink!
You doll artists just amaze me.
BTW, still making only short forays online owing to tech issues with my Mac. Have yet to find a solution.
    Take care
